Explore a rewarding career in nursing
MADISON, FL – North Florida Community College is currently accepting applications for its Patient Care Technician (PCT) certificate program. Now is the time to enroll and take care of application, testing and program entrance requirements for Spring Term 2017. Classes begin in Jan. 4. Deadline to apply for the Spring Term 2017 PCT program is Nov. 15.
In September, NFCC’s PCT Class of 2016 earned a 100% pass rate on the Florida Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure exam. According to Julie Townsend, Director of Nursing and Allied Health at NFCC, the high success rate can be attributed to the College’s outstanding nursing instructors and the program’s attention to student support and excellence.
“This excellent program gives students an opportunity to enter the healthcare profession and can open doors to future education and career opportunities in the healthcare field,” said Julie Townsend, Director of Nursing Allied Health programs at NFCC.
NFCC’s Patient Care Technician (PCT) program is a 5-month program that prepares students to begin work at the technical assistant level in a variety of settings including home health, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes or other long-term care facilities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
