Madison Charmettes Chapter Donates $500 to NFCC Foundation
MADISON, FL – The North Florida Community College Foundation has received a $500 donation from The Charmettes Madison County Chapter to assist with student scholarships at NFCC. The Charmettes Madison County Chapter Scholarship is offered annually to a Madison County high school senior that has been accepted for admission and is planning to attend NFCC during fall term. Scholarship awards can be used toward tuition, books and fees and those interested in applying should contact their high school guidance counselor for details.

“We are thankful for all community support in providing scholarships to NFCC students,” said James. “Working together, we can make positive changes in the lives of others.”
The Charmettes, Incorporated is a national civic organization that had its beginnings in 1951 when friends Gwendolyn Baker Rodgers and Frankie Drayton Thomas recognized the need for an organization that would bring together women with similar ideas, principles and backgrounds to organize themselves to utilize their skills, talents and resources for community impact. Today, The Charmettes, Incorporated is a nationally recognized women’s community service organization with 19 chapters active throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
