Koch Companies Donates $6,000 to NFC Foundation to Support Taylor County Students

TAYLOR, FL (March 28, 2023) – Koch Companies, the parent company of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill in Perry, has donated $6,000 to the North Florida College Foundation to provide scholarships for Taylor County High School graduates attending North Florida College to earn their Associate in Arts degree. The donation continues Foley Cellulose’s long-standing and generous support of local students, education, and NFC Foundation scholarships.

Georgia-Pacific Foley Cellulose Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon presented the $6,000 donation to NFC’s Director of Resource Development Traci McClung on March 8 in Perry.

“It is a pleasure to contribute to the North Florida College Foundation. Earning an Associate in Arts degree is the next step for many students in their preparation for a future career.  We will continue to support our Taylor County students and their efforts to continue their education,” said Mixon.

Donations like this have a direct impact in the community as they help Taylor County students further their education. With the help of the Koch Companies Community Fund and other generous donors, the NFC Foundation has awarded 43 scholarships totaling more than $34,000 to Taylor County students since the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
