First Graduating Class of Sentinel Scholars Collegiate Academy Celebrates
LIVE OAK, FL (May 15, 2023) – On May 5, 2023, North Florida College celebrated its first graduating class of the Sentinel Scholars Collegiate Academy at the NFC Live Oak Location in Live Oak, Florida.
A ceremonial presentation was held during the celebration, where students from Branford High School and Suwannee High School were awarded custom stoles by NFC Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Jennifer Page. The stoles will be worn with students’ cap and gown when they graduate from NFC.
“This achievement is simply outstanding,” stated Page. “The ability of these students to successfully balance both their high school and college course requirements along with extra-curricular and family obligations is no easy feat. I am thankful for the partnership we have with the Suwannee County School District, and I am proud of the collaboration between Branford High School, Suwannee High School, and North Florida College personnel. We wish our Sentinel Scholars Collegiate Academy graduates all the best as they move forward into the next chapter of their educational journey.”
Speakers, NFC President John Grosskopf and Suwannee County Schools Assistant Superintendent of Administration Malcolm Hines, addressed the students and their families, congratulating them on their accomplishment and encouraging them in their next steps.
These students will graduate spring 2023 with their high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree.
