Dwayne Benson Ball Jr. receives two-year NFC scholarship
MADISON, FL (July 2020) - The North Florida College Foundation is pleased to announce the winner of the 2020 Hamilton County High School Scholarship Drawing. Dwayne Benson Ball Jr., a graduating senior at HCHS received a two-year, tuition paid scholarship to NFC. The scholarship drawing is the first in the NFC Foundation’s Operation Outreach Project, an outreach initiative that will include all six counties in the NFC service area.
Dwayne is a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and has been an active member of marching band, JROTC and the track and field team at HCHS. He plans to attend NFC to pursue a certificate in Practical Nursing. After completing the LPN program, Dwayne hopes to continue his education in the LPN-RN bridge program. Dwayne says that he is drawn to a career in the medical field because of his personal experience. Dwayne was presented with a scholarship check in June by Elesta Pritchett, NFC Foundation Scholarship Committee Chairman and Annabelle Scott, NFC Foundation Scholarship Coordinator.
“The mission of NFC Foundation is to nurture and assist students in reaching their goals,"said Judy Lundell, NFC Resource Development Director.
