Aucilla Christian Academy Juniors Preview Future Career Options at North Florida College
MADISON, FL (May 3, 2023) – On Wednesday, April 5th, Aucilla Christian Academy Juniors experienced North Florida College’s campus during a Mini-Preview Tour. Twenty-one ACA high school juniors and staff were in attendance.
The tour started at the NFC Public Safety Academy building, where students learned about the academy and were able to preview the Commercial Driver’s License driving course.
The tour then took students to the Career and Workforce Education building. Several faculty members provided students with hands-on learning experiences with fun and informative presentations. ACA students helped a patient in an Emergency Room, previewed 3-D printing and virtual welding, previewed emergency medical treatment of trauma patients, and more!
NFC career and workforce programs include: Associate in Science Degrees in Accounting Technology, Business Administration, Criminal Justice Technology, Emergency Medical Services, and Registered Nursing; Allied Health and Nursing; Certified Production Technology; Early Childhood Education; Emergency Medical Services; and Medical Information Biller/Coder.
Students then made their way to the Morris G. Steen Jr. Science building to engage with naval drones and biology labs, the Colin P. Kelly Fitness Center to one-day shoot hoops and lift weights, and the Sentinel Shop to check out NFC merchandise. The tour finished at the NFC Student Center to experience a bit of college life at the Sentinel Café.
